Hi everyone,

Every once in a while I find myself in the situation that I don't have internet access but would like to access the local Samba/Windows share that is attached to my Asus router via USB. Unfortunately, it seems impossible. I remember losely that I researched this last year and found a post by Merlin himself explaining why, but I can't find it this time (so I'm not sure if it's virtually impossible or just requires some work on my end). I would be very happy if someone could let me know once more if there's a workaround for this or point me the appropriate ressources (I guess it's probably some DNS lookup issue, but again, not sure). Thanks!

Did you attempted to access your router's SAMBA share by IP address?
