So, I am running an AC68 router, for some reason the little *angel* seems to be using QoS to kill DNS packets.
DNS runs through my AC DC, and when there is a TON of traffic (filling up the pipe), for some reason it stops my tablet or phone from browsing for 30 seconds to a minute or so. Then it starts acting like normal.
I double checked and it isn't maxing out resources, however I know its filling the DL up completely when this happens by buffering the Chromecast/Netflix videos.
I imagine this is a result of not running DNS through the router and the router not flagging the packets as 'highest priority', but I am uncertain if I am missing something. This has seemed to have started right around the time I last updated the firmware.
I would like to keep using adaptive but probably going to have to go to traditional QoS.
