AiMesh on RT-AC87U

Hi all,

Does anyone have information on if and when AiMesh will be available for the RT-AC87U router?

It was in the initial Asus announcement that it would get support but I have read many posts with conflicting reports.
If someone from ASUS could confirm if it is coming that would be great as I own this router and would love to transition to a mesh setup.

For the 87U Asus said this just recently about Aimesh.

(For security, it will be updated continuously For Aimesh, no plan to do it currently.)

Do you have any link to the official statement?

ASUS did list the 87U on the AiMesh support initially so I'll be a bit annoyed if they U-turn on that.

I have 3 AC-87U waiting for that.. Does it work on Ai-Mesh and latest version?
