AiMesh, router stock asus, wired AP merlin. Cant connect to AP 5ghz

Hi all,

I have two AX58U, working on Aimesh and connected by wire:
Main router: Last Merlin V. 3004.388.8_2
AP: Last stock V. 3.0.0.4.388_24762

All was working well until a few days that not a single device will connect to the AP on 5ghz (2,4ghz its fine). Phones can see the signal but they refuse to connect to the strongest signal.
As you can see on the screenshots, the phone is connected to the weaker signal.
I test being next to the AP where the main router signal cant reach, and the phone wont connect. I try with android and iphone. Already did several reboots, change the channels.
Any advise on what to do next?? Thanks!

This “weaker” signal is still very good at -65dBm. Most mobile devices will hold this connection.

This is right next to the AP, still wont change.

At the same position I turned off and on the wifi and I couldn't connect to the 5ghz, forcing it manually, on the 2,4 no problem

Since AiMesh node has no configuration - reset it, add it, try again. This will take few minutes time.

That fix the problem! Hope the solution last.

Another thing i notice is that before and after adding the AP, on the AiMesh menu the Clients always show 0, when in the network map there are 34.... firmware bug?
