New Around Here
Hello,

First of all, I am reading this very helpful forum and let me thank all the community for the great quality of information and help you provided to me.

If I would be able, it will be a pleasure to me to help others (even if I am not english language native).

I have a question for you please.

I have used for the last three years a RT-AC88U. The wifi coverage of my house is not enough, so to improve the wifi connection from everywhere, I have just bought a new router RT-AX88U.

I would like to use Aimesh in order to have a single Wifi network and create a wired backhaul. My probleme is that between I am not able to go directly between the two routers (or the main router RT-AX88U and the futur node RT-AC88U). I am obliged to put a swith between them.

Do you think it will work with the same speed rate ?

Thank you for your help

regards

If it works, I suspect it will work the same with or without the switch in the wired backhaul path. Sometimes a switch gets in the way of AiMesh and I don't know why... you'll have to try it with your equipment.

There should be some AiMesh with switch users here who can comment on their experience.
