Others have tried and failed, but here's LaCie having a costly go at mass-market NASes - focused on plug-and-play for the family. It says.

I wonder if they have more than UPnP (such as it is/isn't) to simplify port forwarding in the routers?

Anything cloud base seems to use more bandwidth and I have gap from my ISP it's much higher now with the extra DWL/UPL I get from them but sill cuts into it. Meriaki devices prime example using cloud base design products that uses a lot of bandwidth.

This product seems to be another one of these examples. I for one won't buy it.. Rather control from local source than use anywhere box.

I am glad I'm not the only one. Thought maybe my brain just wasn't working properly since it is Friday.
