I recently purchased a Asus AC3100 along with a Segate 8 TB external drive. I went ahead and set up a network place created the appropriate permissions so that I can access the drive via the router and use it to push back ups etc. I was able to access the drive via the AI cloud and it showed 7.12 TB of available storage. I thought everything was good until I mapped the drive to my system, I then discovered the drive only showed 1.16 TB of available space. I created a single folder and was able to successfully map the drive, it is just the missing storage that is my concern. Why am I only getting 1.16 TB of space when it should be 7.12 TB. My permissions are good and I can create and delete files across the networked drive, FTP server, and AI cloud. I thought that it might be a formatting issue so I tried NTFS, EXT3, and got similar results each time. I am not at a total loss and have not been able to find any more information on the topic. I have attached the following screen caps for reference. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!
