asus AC87r https help (resolved)

ok I have the new asus AC87r router and it works ok, other than turning on https has lost my web login page, i also set up port forwarding to login remotely which does not work.
so https://router.asus.com:8443/ does not work
https://192.168.1.1:8443/ does not work
https://my.dyndns.org:8443/ does not work

tried, firefox, chrome, EI. they don't work.

other than resetting the router any suggestion?
i'm running merlins latest 376.47, with a fresh install.

Fixed, turned off router, then unplugged, let sit for 5 minutes.
Went to a different computer and used firefox (i use chrome mostly) to login to 192.168.1.1:8443 and i got the certificate warning and once i added the exception i was able to log in.
I have now left https off.
