New Around Here
Hi there.

I am experiencing random reboots on my Asus AXE16000 the reboot issue can happen multiple times a day and there is no specific time the reboot issue will occur.

The auto reboot option is disabled and the router is running the latest Asus firmware.

I have attached a link to a copy of the recent system logs and would be grateful if someone could please take a look at them and see if there is anything obvious that is trigging these reboots?

Thank you in advance for any help.

I will try this. Thanks
Can you see anything obvious in the logs which could be triggering the reboot issue?
I didn't take a look at the logs but it solves this persistent issue on my older Asus RT -AC 88u which is known to be buggy ..
but to me it seems that there is something wrong with usb 3.0 enabled in routers that have 512mb ram and lower. I believe it works better only in high end Asus routers with 1gb ram and above

I don't see a reason for reboots. It's like the power cuts off from time to time.

Unrelated.
Thanks for taking a look at the logs.

The power source is fine so that's not the issue, but I have noticed every time the router reboots the system uptime is reset and the following entries are recorded on the logs:

May 5 06:06:02 ntp: start NTP update
Oct 26 21:46:38 rc_service: ntp 3106:notify_rc restart_diskmon

Would you please have any idea of why an NTP update is causing the router to reboot itself? And is there any option of disabling the NTP update to see if this rectifies the issue?

Thanks for any help.

its not, the router doesn't retain its time across reboots so it does an ntp request early in boot to bring the logs in line.

Thanks for your reply.

I have set the USB interface to 2.0 mode but unfortunately, this has not rectified the reboot issue.
