Hi folks,

I bought the beautiful RT-AC68U and I tried to use the Ai Disk functionality to use it as Cloud Storage for Office 2013. I tried to set it up after some research:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj984352.aspx

I found another tutorial and changed the values of the script to my used asus-ddns.

http://www.howtogeek.com/149335/how-to-add-dropbox-and-other-cloud-services-to-office-2013/

But it didn't work.

Does anyone tried to use his Asus Router as own Cloud Storage for Microsoft Office 2013?

Does anyone succeeded?

Doeas anyone has a howto for me to set it up?

Yours Sincerly

AiCloud is very primitive in that sense. The only client for it at the moment is on phones and tablets, but lacks serious features like uploading your files. The thing I've tried and is working ok now is a webdav client from my phone which works pretty good. This is the same as Google drive or Dropbox uses. The only issue is that it needs some configuration changes to the lighttpd deamon on the router to work and you would need a Windows client. If I can find a proper webdav client for Windows you would be albe to do this with AiCloud.
Let you know if I find something.

Just found this product but it haven't tried it yet on the AiCloud interface but it should work as it responds to webdav over https and you get the same functionality.

Thanks in Advance. I tried netdrive but it doesn't work with it. My goal is to use my storage on my router as cloud storage for office 2013 without that my data is saved elsewhere. I tried now Asus Webstorage: you can make it with it and the office add-ins, but the data is saved elsewhere first and it is only available for word, excel and outlook. A plugin for onenote is missing (what I use most) :(

I got it working. Did you check the advanced option to use https?

Correction it connects but location unavailable after you try to use it.

Is there any possibility to make a own functionaly cloud system on the rt ac68u with sync possibility with office 2013? If yes, where can I find mor information? Are there any free SDK's out to develop/integrate one?

I've got Netdrive working.
Seems you need to give the right url in the connection configuration.

For the ac68u you give in routername.asuscomm.com/RT-AC68U/sda1

If you don't it will connect but Windows doesn't handle the / correctly and gives an error.

Also check https under advanced.

Thanks I will give it a try. Entware isn't ported yet. Would it is it possible to run lighttpd with optware? Optware seems to be compatible to arm-architecture. The rt-ac68u also has with its Broadcom BCM4708A0 @ 800 MHz an arm-based processor.

It gives me an error :( Maybe I am using the wrong port. Which port should I use?

I use a different port but if you use stock it would be 443.

Also your mount point could defer to mine like mine is sda1 but yours could be the name of the disk. You can check that in the web interface of AiCloud.

If it still gives you an error after it could be an extra line that needs to be added to the lighttpd configuration that i done but that was for my mobile app to work.

If entware is working then you could have a look at OwnCloud.

It fails to connect on mine. I think I have to try it from another netweok. I think it is failing because my router is autmatically mounted as ftp drive.I will write if it worked from another network.
