Asus firmware 374 to 376 5Ghz signal difference

Hello everyone.

Ever since Asus released the new 376 firmware updates it seems like my 5 ghz band got a lot weaker in signal strength. With 374 my signal bars would be the same as they are with the sdk5 driver I am using now with the 35_4-sdk5 merlin build.

The main reason I don't want to update to the new 376 firmware based by merlin builds is because my 5ghz signal got so bad that it went from 4 to 2 bars starting with the 376.44 release. I mean it is like that for every device too, no matter how far you are away from the router it seems. Even at 20 feet, no difference. In fact, from time to time the 5ghz band signal will completely drop in and out it is so bad now.

Anyone else experienced this issue?

I even tried experimenting with the tomato by shibby firmware with the sdk 6 driver and I got even worse results.

Anyone know if this is fixed with the 3.0.0.4.376.2524 release for the rt-n66u?

Stick with what is in my sig.
Wifi range especially on 5Ghz is more important then having the so called latest version.

I feel like with the 35_4-sdk5 build I get better throughput then with that one lol. That's just my opinion though.
