Hello everyone.
I have one GT-BE98 as a router and one as a node ... Many problems with the node with this firmware (39197)... Node restarts every few minutes and keeps loosing connection very soon. Reverted to 39115 and everything back to normal.

Anybody else experienced this ?

One would think a firmware defect that causes the node to restart every few minutes would not make it to release. So, I would assume the defect is not there and that the restart issue is resolvable. Given an ASUS firmware update (just fixes LEDs?), I'd have to reconfigure all minimally from a Reset before giving up on it.

When facing issues like this the usual advice is to remove the node from AiMesh and re-add it on the new firmware. Asus doesn't list all the changes in new firmware releases, they may contain changes in AiMesh.

I have tried that already but with the exact same results ... What I was thinking is that perhaps there is a maximum on the number of nodes that are supported ? I do have 6 other nodes ( that are not enabled though - switched off ) and GT-BE98 is the last in the row ... Perhaps it needs to be the 1st ? I will try to delete the other nodes and see what happens ...

I do have 6 other nodes

For GT-BE98 Router to GT-BE98 Node - if the current firmware release doesn't work revert to whatever works release and wait for next firmware update. Nothing else you can do. For the rest 6x Nodes - AiMesh doesn't scale well, has limited compatibility between different generation ASUS devices and limited network tuning options. If you really need 8x APs better explore SMB upgrade options. Good luck!
