Asus Merlin 384.XX -> AIMESH ?

I just noticed that my asus RT-AC88U just got a new 384.xx firmware which supports aimesh technology , is it something that will be supported by Merlin firmware?

he said hes not supporting it, too much closed source code.
 
But there is source
That is not all of the firmware source, that is only the open source bits, which is steadily becoming less and less of the firmware code. The AIMesh bits are all closed-source.
