Asus merlin on RT-B88U and 10 GB sonic fiber

When I use the latest 2 versions of Merlin software compared to Asus stock I experience a speed drop of 3 GB/s (see attached speeds within red box of Asus-Merlin and outside above and below box for native Asus firmware.
Is there something in the firmware that is causing the speed drop, and if so can it be fixed?
