Hi,
so I managed to make the above work using Tomato, but for some reason the connection is not stable. It was confirmed to me by another user, who also had a confirmation from someone else. Well, to sum it up its three of us, finding N66U working faulty on Tomato with Huawei usb modems.
Still, I've seen it is possible to run this modems on AC68 or AC56 so I guess it should be pretty simple to try it on N66. The modem is HiLink and I get a network 192.168.8.1 when connected to my laptop, but for some reason when I connect it to the router nothing happens.
I actually would like it to stay as HiLink, I do not mind, but I do not understand what steps should I make to start it working.
Should I enable USB modem? It should not matter what I type into this settings as the signal is comming straight from the modem itself. For some reason the router just does not want to get an IP on WAN, though I put it in DHCP mode. Any advice appreciated.
To show what I tried was both enable or disable this:
Primary WAN is USB
and main page always say offline
