Hello,
I am using Asus RP-AC55 extender as AP connected to the main RT-AC68U router via the ethernet cable. Overall I am happy with this setup which is quite stable, thus I am using it now for ~3 months w/o any changes.
However, the last 2 evenings I have noticed that at the end of the day Asus RP-AC55 becomes quite hot (I am turning it off each night, as it is located in the kids' bedroom). Yesterday evening it also became unresponsive (only the red power light was on). RAM utilization is 89% which is a bit suspicious, as I have only up to 3 clients connected to it. Is this the expected?
RP-AC55 has the latest firmware 3.0.0.4.384_83130 and I am only using 5GHz network. Most of the settings are left to default (and match related settings on the router):
Wireless Mode N/AC mixed
Channel bandwidth 20/40/80 MHz
Control Channel Auto
Extension Channel Auto
