New Around Here
Good Day,

Can a RT-3100 be set to use one wireless band (say 2.4GHz) for VPN connections and the 5GHz for non-VPN or local Internet traffic?

I have a Roku and home NAS I want to use with my VPN subscription, but don't want all my traffic to go the VPN endpoint. Splitting them up via VPN and non-VPN wireless bands would be a fantastic option.

Is this possible?

Cheers.

No, you can't split traffic based on which SSID the client connected to. However, if you install Merlin's firmware you can use policy based routing. You assign fixed IP addresses for your Roku and NAS and then route just those devices through your VPN.
