Hello guys, i would like to ask what's your experience with your router temps, and most importantly, does it affect router performance? Does the CPU underclock at high temps and if yes, what is the treshhold?
I noticed my router was runing hot, 67C (some people might say that's normal) so i decided to cool it down.
I have a cheap laptop stand, i placed the router on it and connected it to the router USB. The results where amazing.
From 67C to 43C. That's a 24c DROP!!! I made a screenshot when the CPU hit 45C but it went even lower after that, to 43C. I tested while having 2 1080p streams runing at the same time. I've kept them open while using the cheap cooler.
