New Around Here
Hi guys. I need help. I want to buy a new router. What is better for stable wifi Asus RT-AC58U or Asus RT-AC66U_B1? What`s of this models are more perspective? My channel have 100 mbit/s download-upload (in the future may be more). At now i`m using 8 wi-fi devices. My RT-N12D1 model is`t to "slow" and don`t have 5GGh.

RT-AC58U have quad core. RT-AC66U_B1 and KN-1010 have 2 core.
p/s. At russian forums some users tells, that new Keenectic KN-1010 is much better tha 66U_B1. It`s true?

The RT-AC58U has indeed a quad core CPU of Qualcomm.
The RT-AC66U_B1 and RT-AC68U have a dual core CPU of Broadcom.
The (Keenetic, made by ZyXEL) KN-1010 has a dual core CPU of MediaTek.
It are 3 different routers, like one prefers to drive a Volkswagen, another a Ford and a third a Toyota.
For your router preference I suggest to look into:
  1. A good support forum specific for the router model or brand.
  2. Firmware update support (release notes, fixing security issues, fixing bugs).
  3. Expected firmware update support period.
  4. Third party firmware support.
  5. User experiences.

1 May be ok.
2 You better do care, to stay up to date with security fixes.
3 You can check on the manufacturer website and see how frequent updates are issued, also for older routers.
4 I agree.
5 Alright, I suggest to go for safe and chose the RT-AC68U.
