ASUS RT-AC66R USB Drive Error

My WD 2TB drive keeps unmounting on its own. I've been able to troubleshoot by resetting the router and HD periodically, but it's getting pretty annoying that it won't stop. I tried updating to the most recent Merlin FW, but that didn't help. Suggestions?

I'd be interested to hear any input about this as well, as I've been having issues with the USB ports on AsusWRT-Merlin with a 16GB USB3.0 pendrive as well as a USB2.0 printer not being recognized after a reboot.

This is on an AC56U router w/1 USB3.0 port and 1 USB2.0 port.

@redsoxfanatic76 What router do you have? Did you try any other HDD?
