ASUS RT-AC66U vs. WD MyBook Live

New Around Here
My post is related to my NAS but since I think it is my router interfering I am posting here. I have an ASUS RT-AC66U and a new WD MyBook Live 3TB drive attached directly to one of the 4 gigabit ports on my ASUS. I have completely digitized my movie collection and have put the movies onto the mybook. I am having issues maintaining a "direct link" through port forwarding. From work I remote into my home computer and log into the router and mybook. the mybook says port forwarding properly setup and direct link connected. I can log into the web based WD access page, access the mybook and see all the shares. as soon as i click on a movie and try to copy or right click, the application freezes. then on the mybook itself the connection goes from good to "unable to establish port forwarding connection and an error code. i have the mybook on a static ip and ports 10200:10300 set on both router and mybook. I am sure I am doing something wrong but I just don't know what!! any help is mucho appreciated!

(Everything works fantastic from within the LAN of course)

I had a similar problem. Solved it by reloading the firmware on the MyBook.
