No mention of the occasional reboots. Interesting.

No mention of the occasional reboots. Interesting.

After two days running a test build of my own FW using the binary bits from 4422, I haven't experienced any random reboot either. Makes me wonder if that issue might only be happening in a very specific configuration (for example maybe if there's an USB3 USB HDD plugged in - Asus did some USB3-related changes in 4422).

If people keep reporting reboots with this new build, we will have to collect more configuration information to determine what's the common cause (since it's not affecting everyone).

I had reboot issues with the prior version. Version 583 would go days without any issues.

I'm currently over 2 hours of uptime with 4561 so hopefully that bug is gone. I'll post an update tonight.

Thanks. I'm interested in it because I need to know if the issue is still there, and see if I can avoid it for my own next release.

Patched IPv6 user interface from Merlin's build.

Is that implementing the IPv6 Firewall?

At least I seems to see work on DFS for the European users :)

I can confirm that the previous firmware 3.0.0.4.374.4422 was rebooting without a UBS3 device connected. I actually no USB devices at all plugged in. I'm now on 3.0.0.4.374.4561 and so far so good!

Has anyone determined if the Airplay/Bonjour issues in bridge mode have been resolved?

Airplay-ing content to a target behind an RT-AC68U/R in bridge mode has been problematic for some time. Bonjour host names can't be resolved for targets behind the bridge.

The Netgear R6300 and R7000 suffer from the same issue.

I had no USB 3 devices, but I had a NAS cabled to a LAN port. Plenty reboots.

Merlin are u rolling out your firmware with the latest GPL code ?

Eventually, barring any problem with this new version.

No issues so far.

Btw... I didn't have USB utilized when I had reboots.

Just had my first reboot on 4561... also had them on 4422.

No Samba/DLNA/USB devices connected.

2.4ghz and 5ghz WPA2
2.4ghz Guest isolated WPA2
WAN using Google DNS
Virtual Server/Port Forwarding enabled
Firewall -> DDOS Enabled (I think it's off by default?)

Otherwise everything is default.

This keeps showing up in syslogs, but I presume it's some software on my network:
Feb 21 22:39:43 miniupnpd[704]: sendto(udp): Operation not permitted

Running firmware 374.4561 for the past 4 hours on one of my routers, with no issues at this time, except for a slightly weaker signal on 5ghz band vs Kong firmware.

No reboots at this time and system Log is clear of any errors.

can someone please explain a little bit about this " 2. Force changing FTP from anonymous to account mode after firmware upgraded."

does this mean they fixed the ftp security issue ?

GPL source for 4561 is now out

Woke up to find it rebooted at least once overnight. Current uptime is only 1 hour.
