New Around Here
Hello,

I purchased a brand new ASUS RT-AX55 in April 2021. Everything was working well until a two weeks ago when the 2.4Ghz band became unavailable / not found by any of my devices.

From the router admin page, everything looks OK with both 2.4ghz and 5Ghz shown as available.

I have updated my router to the lastest firmware 3.0.0.4.386_43597, did a soft reset, hard reset (with long press on WPS button), turned on /off the guest wifi.

The only thing that brought back for a little while the 2.4Ghz band (1 day) was to downgrade the firmware to the previous version. Unfortunately this did work for long.

Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forums @infrad.

The following should be useful.

Fully Reset / Best Practice Setup / More

Thank you. I have applied some of the mentioned recommendations and the 2.4GHz band is now available.

If it can be useful for some other people, here is what I did:

- Fully unplugged the router for 10 minutes
- Hard factory reset (with the WPS button)
- Soft reset
- Configuration via the admin page (not the wizard)
- Used a brand new admin account and SSID names / password.
- No AI protection / Adaptive QoS
