Improved compatibility with certain IoT devices.
That’s pretty cryptic … I wonder which ones, or which types; and in what area (of interoperability with the Router) it makes them more compatible.

My guess is that it is WPA2/WPA3 related... but i'm only guessing...

Hope so… I’d really like to move back to WPA2/WPA3….
 
I'm in the process of updating mine and will report back if anything stupid happens.
 
Ended up having to factory reset my AX88U…

Within 24 hours of updating I experienced super slow internet (0.5 Mbps vice 920), thought it was an ISP issue as rebooting router and ONT made no difference.

ISP suggested using their supplier router, did that and it was fine. So I powered AX88U again and all LEDs went out within a few seconds, tired several times and this kept happening, I thought the router had died… As a last resort I tried factory reset and restore settings, it was fine again and has been for 2 days.

Never seen this happen before and may not be firmware related, but timing fits.
