New Around Here
Hi all,

I just recieved my Asus router a couple of days ago and I notice Merlin logs inside the stock firmware. Can you confirm the stock firmware contains Merlin code or this router was a return from Amazon?

Thanks for your help!

May 5 00:05:15 kernel: MerlinSupport::merlin_load_firmware(): INFO: wait 8192 comclks for ~32KB code ram initialization

May 5 00:05:15 kernel: MerlinSupport::merlin_load_firmware(): Checking init_done passed

May 5 00:05:15 kernel: MerlinSupport::merlin_load_firmware(): INFO: wait 1024 comclks for 3KB data ram initialization

May 5 00:05:15 kernel: MerlinSupport::merlin_load_firmware(): Checking init_done passed

May 5 00:05:15 kernel: MerlinSupport::merlin_load_firmware(): begin writing firmware to the program ram

Looking around the internet this seems to be a standard message for the GT-AX6000.

The "MerlinSupport" is not referring to the asuswrt-merlin firmware. Rather, it is the name of a SerDes core within a Broadcom chip.
