Hello, I just bought this router model 5 days ago and have updated the latest Firmware,

There is a problem I am facing: speed copy (upload) from my Desktop PC (Windows 10) to the portable hard drive attached to the router's USB port is too slow, only 12 MB/s. At this time, I see that only 1 core of the router working at 25%,

On the contrary, when I copied (download) from the portable hard drive on USB router to my Desktop PC, the speed was very fast, reaching 45 - 48 MB/s and 1 of the 4 cores of the Router worked 100%.

my portable hard drive has very high speed if plugged directly into a PC, over 225 MB/s read and write so the problem is not with portable hard drive

I think the problem lies in the Firmware and will be improved soon in future versions

I use Samba share and connect to the 5GHZ wave, with the same settings, in the tuf ax3000 v1 model, I can achieve speeds of 50 MB/s download and 45 MB/s upload.

I've sent feedback on the router configuration page but haven't received any email replies yet so hopefully I'll find some help here.

I use google translate, sorry for my English not good

hi,

i think is better use a nas for this kind of operations...
a raspberry could be perfect!

i'm using it with openmediavalut and i'm very happy

Not a recommended model.

Reboot it properly: return it for a full refund.

Since that reboot everything has been working fine and no more reboots. Connection appears more stable than with my previous RT-AC86U.
