Is there any security issue I should know if I connection my wireless ASUS-Merlin router to my modem as Access Point and/or bridge?

First thing first: what ASUS model do you have? As I can see, it already has Asus Merlin installed...

A config like this is generally a REALLY HUGE missed opportunity.

There is also a really big chance, that your router has way better wifi capabilities than your ISP modem. If you already have ASUS-Merlin installed on your router, that means, that it can also be more secure than modem (just add Skynet and few more rules and tweaks in Asus router).

My advice: call your ISP, have them set your modem to bridge mode and config your ASUS router as a router it should be in the first place.

Thanks.

Could you direct me to a link for information about Skynet, and all the rules and tweaks?

What Asus router do you have and what firmware is it running?
If you put the Asus router into AP mode or Media Bridge mode you loose most all the Asus-Merlin features. This may possibly include the inability to run certain or all add-on scripts (like Skynet).
If your "modem" is really a gateway or modem/router then consider putting the gateway or modem/router into Bridge mode and use the Asus router as it was intended, a router provided (and assuming) the Asus router has newer/better features and options than the ISP/broadband provided equipment.
Post up the make/model of the ISP/broadband provider's equipment and others may be able to suggest how to put it into Bridge mode if possible. If it cannot be put into Bridge mode then one may have to put the Asus router into the DMZ zone of the ISP gateway or modem/router if that equipment supports DMZ.

Information on Skynet and other Asus-Merlin Addon Scripts can be found in the Asus-Merlin Addon subforum. There is a catalogue link there with links to all the various addon scripts.

One can "filter" the addon subforum using the forum "filters" feature to show only Skynet related posts and discussions to learn more about how to configure it or fix various issues.

If you have a modem only the router connected to it has to be in Router mode.
