Disable Airtime Fairness.
Disable MU-MIMO.
Disable Universal Beamforming.

If the above doesn't work, then add a guest account (as a test) with an 8 character SSID and a 16 character password with no spaces, special characters, punctuation or smiley faces.

What about the main 2.4GHz wireless page?

Is your wireless mode in 'Auto'?

Is your Control Channel manually set?

Is your channel bandwidth at 20MHz?

Do you have the Optimized for Xbox checked or unchecked?

What is the state of the b/g protection toggle?

These are my 2.4 GHZ settings

Set the Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz.

Set the Control Channel to 1, 6, or 11 only.

I updated image above for comparison with tp link. please check.

I tried channel 1,6,11 with Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz.

Still same .. not appearing

  1. Set Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz and tried channel 1 to 11 individually
  2. Set Channel Bandwidth to 40MHz and tried channel 1 to 11 individual

@Fanee This sounds like it might be a problem with the device running the app. Can you try the app on another device?

see below image for wifi kit appearing in wifi survey
I'm a bit confused here. Are you trying to connect to the Asus or the "wifi kit" shown in your picture?

My wifi kit needs to connect to ssids provided by my Asus RT AC-5300
But when i scan available networks via wifi kit app, Asus RT AC-5300 ssids do not appear,
while other ssids like my literally low end tp link also appears

in simple words, my Air conditioner needs to be connected to my home network/internet so i can control it using app. But i cant do it as asus ssids are not showing up in its list

I attached Site Survey image AS it may help debug the issue perhaps , sorry for confusion

Try the app on a different device.

Is the current device already connected to the Asus over WiFi (for things like web browsing, email, etc.)?

No, my air conditioner (to whom i refer as wifi kit) was never able to connect to Asus router ssids as I can not select asus ssids from its scan list

Yes, device(airconditioner wifi kit) connects to my low end tp link router as it can find its ssid .

But i dont want to use tp link as it is just my backup thing. I need asus to handle all my network

I think I have misunderstood what you are doing.

You have an app that is installed on your phone. Correct?

I thought the phone was trying to connect to the Asus, but it sounds like the phone (and app) have successfully connected to the air-conditioner (WiFi kit). Correct?

So it is the air-conditioner (WiFi kit), not the phone (and app), that can't see the Asus' SSIDs. Correct?

Yes you are correct.
Wifi kit cant find asus ssids.
My phone can connect to asus ssid , ofcourse
my Phone can connect to wifi kit as well (see below)
My phones mroe than one, 2 tablets , 2 samsung tvs , they connect to asus ssids with no problem.

Its only this air conditioner that cant see/find asus ssids

Let me explain the weired procedure provided by wifi kit company.

  1. First install app , open app and create account
  2. to add device as linked device with account,
  3. while keeping app open , connect to wifi kit
  4. scan list of available wifis ,select your wifi , enter password ,
  5. now device is linked. no need to connect to device anymore as it has now ur wifi saved and will be online

at step 4, i can see my tp link but i cant see asus ssids , this list is returned to app from wifi kit

here is the vendor link

OK Thanks for confirming that.

It looks like the air conditioner might only be a 2.4GHz b/g device. So on the Asus try changing the 2.4GHz Wireless Mode from Auto to Legacy.

If that doesn't work try switching it back to Auto but un-tick b/g Protection.

I will try first one but b/g Protection can not be unticked in newer firmware. you can see in one of my screen shots that with auto , it grays out

I tried chaning 2.4 GHZ to
  1. legacy b/g ticked
  2. legacy b/g unticked
with auto, i cant untick b/g in new firmware

still same , does not appear in list
