AX Connection Unstable on RT-AX86U

I got this router as a gift and my friend and I haven AX Enabled phones. I noticed that on my Desktop, I was getting 700/300 on WiFi (we have gigabit internet through Verizon Fios) with only 4-6 ping, but on my OnePlus 8 Pro, I was getting really unstable internet with packet loss as well. Turning off AX solved the problem, but I want to see how I can solve this issue while keeping AX enabled.
