I'm looking for assistance in troubleshooting IPv6 connection problem.
While my ISP states that IPv6 is supported as a Native connection type with ASUS routers, I fail to get an IPv6 connection.
There are no problems with IPv4 and connection is extremely reliable and performance as expected.
On the AX3000 I enabled IPv6 as Native connection type and left default settings, i.e. DHCP-PD enable, Auto Configuration Stateless, Router Advertisement enable. I've tried Connect to DNS server automatically as well as entering my favorite DoT servers.
The AX3000 log repeatedly shows:
Oct 11 10:28:28 modprobe: module ip6t_REJECT not found in modules.dep
Oct 11 10:28:28 modprobe: module ip6t_ROUTE not found in modules.dep
Oct 11 10:28:28 modprobe: module ip6t_LOG not found in modules.dep
Netstat on the router lists:
tcp 0 0 ip6-localhost:domain :::* LISTEN
udp 0 0 ip6-localhost:domain :::*
The ARRIS SB8200, Docsis 3.1, cable modem log has:
"Honoring MDD; IP provisioning mode = IPv4"
My suspicion is that the ISP is not configuring the cable modem for IPv6 and the router is waiting for IPv6 address.
Correct interpretation?
