The subject router is less than a week old, replacing my AC86U of 5+ years which died. Installed 3004.388.4 and everything is running perfect except for some log entries which I am hoping someone can explain why they are occurring. Let me set set the scene first. We have three iPhones all at the same IOS level. These log entries only occur for two of the three iPhones when they move beyond the router’s WiFi range. The AC86U never logged this. Here are the log entries:

looks like smartconnect doing it's thing to band steer the client device...

If the phones are working properly, this is one of those things not to worry about - syslog is more for developers, and it looks scary to most users...
 
Yup, iPhones are working properly. I will ignore entries like this in the future.
