AX88 issues with Netflix using VPN c

I bought the AX88 a few months ago replacing my AC68. Ever since I used the AX88, I have been having so much problem with Netflix through my VPN. Most of the time it would not connect to a show, stalling at 24% and disconnect. At times, the show would connect and play for about 20-30 seconds and disconnect. Maybe 40-50% of the time it plays the show, some times pixelated. When I test the connection using Netflix’s speed test I am getting about 2MB connection.
My router is besides the TV and have a 1GB connection.

I am using Merlin’s latest firmware and using the default setting. Is there some setting I need to change? When I used Asus’s firmware, I don’t remember having this problem, though I only used it for maybe 1-2 days.
 
This has nothing to do with the router itself, look at your VPN for the source of your problems.
 
Pretty much. Netflix tries to prevent the use of VPns because it allows to bypass regional limitations, which are in place for contractual reasons (Netflix only has the legal rights to distribute some of their content in some specific regions, with competitors being the ones with the rights in those regions).
