I am trying to setup multiple routers/ap/mesh in my house, detached barn, and shop. I have an AXE11000 in the house and a 200' CAT 6 going to the shop. When I plug in another router in this case an AXE11000 as an AP the connection goes to notice/orange in the network map and it caps the speed at 100mb. I've checked the wire at the location of the second router and if I plug a computer directly in the speed goes back to normal at 500+mb . It only seems to be an issue when one router is plugged into the other.
I've troubleshot everything I can think of, swapped routers from both locations. Tried multiple different cables. Disabled everything and still get the same results. Is there something I am missing why two of them connected together do not like each other?
Firmware is updated on both of them to 3.0.0.4.388_23932-g5a6a65e
I've been trying the routers out sitting next to each other instead of trying to walk back and forth. If I swap wires between the primary one in the house and the AP it will eventually stay green at 1gb. But you have to basically trick the thing to doing it and there is no consistent pattern to it at all.
I've also tried setting the secondary router as a standard router, AP, and AI Mesh though I am not too familiar with mesh setup but it did seem straight forward.
