Backup / Format / Restore JFFS on AC86U AiMesh Node for 384.19

I'm probably missing something obvious, but I want to install 384.19 on an RT-AC86U AiMesh Node. It has simple scripts in /jffs. Following the changelog advice; how can I backup, format, restore JFFS on the node given that the web interface always forces me back to the main router?
