BCM60500 based product for 230V markets

paranoised

Occasional Visitor
Hi,

The fastest solution on paper that has been announced yet is the Broadcom BCM60500. The closest product to being shipped that features this chipset is the D-Link DHP-701AV, capable of 1.5 gbps in theory but advertised as having 2 gbps. thiggins touched on it briefly in his CES coverage.

It seems like the D-Link will initially ship to North America (110V) markets. Have you seen any products announced for the European markets (220-240V) with this chipset?

Thanks

So that I understand, the problem device (Office PC) is connected to a switch, which connects to the rest of your network via a 500 Mbps HomePlug adapter?

When the Office PC loses connection, does anything else connected to the switch lose connection?

When the PC loses connection, is all of its IP address info still correct? Can you ping your main router?
