BeON announced two new features that help expand the use of their LED security lighting products.
The company’s LED security bulbs are now UL certified (UL1598) for outdoor use, as well as fully enclosed fixtures (UL1993 and CSA C22.2#1993). This certification lets customers expand the bulbs’ utility from just being an indoor security tool, to using BeON’s bulb as an outdoor deterrent for intruders.
BeON will also be updating their app to let customers add various lighting sequences to their routines, mimicking daily lighting activities, instead of preconfigured lighting automation that criminals can detect and use to figure out when someone really isn’t home.
BeON lighting kits are available in different packages based on the size of your home, with prices ranging from $75 to $398. The BeON app update will be available for Android and iOS users in May, 2016.
