Yes, compliant, and reliable hardware-wise is what I mean by "best."There isnt a best DOCSIS 3 because cable ISPs brag about DOCSIS speeds when in reality they're shared and tend to be slow so technically it doesnt matter what modem you get as long as it supports the right protocol and is reliable hardware wise and that you use your own router behind it.
Since you're moving to Comcast, take a look at their list of supported modems. I'm using a SB6141 as the 6183 wasn't out yet.Moving soon to a Comcast zone, and will need a new cable modem. Currently giving ARRIS/Motorola's SurfBoard SB6183 a long look. Is that the best?
