Hi Guys,

Can anyone confirm which is the best firmware for a good wifi range, I have updated to latest stock and wifi range is low and speeds not good.

Do I go back to stock .270 or any merlin build which give same performance as stock .270? I heard 43 merlin build is best for wifi.

Thanks

The 270 builds do not work with newer revisions of the RT-N66U, and they also contain numerous security issues that have been fixed in following releases. Therefore I strongly advise against using any of these older builds.

John's fork is your safest bet at this time. It might not have the absolute best range, but it will be good enough, while maintaining mostly up-to-date security.
