Calix launches GigaSpire MAX and BLAST: smart routers with Wi-Fi 6

    Calix launched two new Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) routers, the GigaSpire MAX and GigaSpire BLAST. Both feature 8x8 MIMO @ 5 GHz and 4x4 [email protected] 2.4 GHz with 802.11ax support and two 1 GbE ports (1 LAN and 1 WAN). The MAX adds Universal IoT (Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee 3.0 & Z-Wave Pro) and built-in Alexa Voice Recognition. They are marketed as smart home systems and aimed at providers for distribution.

    In july they were registered at the FCC: GS2020 and GS2026.
