Can't export ovpn file

I'm sure there was an early post regarding this issue, but I just can't find it anymore.
The post was about not able export an ovpn file. This is not possible due to the continuing spinning "waiting wheel". It had something to do with ending a process.

Does this ring a bell to anybody? ;-)

Did you pull the power on the router and wait a few minutes before powering it up and trying again?

If you have any USB devices plugged in, make sure you safely remove them before you pull the cord.

It's an old hard-to-track issue. Manually set its state to ready over SSH:
nvram set vpn_server1_state=2
nvram commit
