In my case, CAT.7 is much better than CAT.6 for flexibility. CAT.6 is too stiff. I don't understand why they put the plastic spine in it. Of course I know how they work and why they make like that.

FWIW We are using Cat 5e, which we had a local network installer put into every room of our home more than a decade ago, and too expensive to switch out. All new wiring will also be professionally installed, but Cat 6 (PoE doorbell and cameras).
My neighbor Jack is remodeling, and his quote:
"Cat 6 or Cat 7 whatever it takes." Remodel Link

I hate CAT.6. Please go with CAT.7.

Not sure I can live long enough for CAT6 or CAT7. I'm on CAT2. CAT1 worked for 16 years.

What if we could just run fiber and a couple wires for PoE (power with fiber so PwF????) and be done with it. Cat 9, 10, 965,966....
Gosh darn it. lol

We need real Laser Beam Ethernet and Internet for home use like Wall Street. I want it so badly.
