The unnamed Wi-Fi 6 chip, supporting 2x2 and 4x4 configurations, will be used in consumer and commercial devices such routers, gateways, APs and repeaters.

Based on the 802.11ax draft specification, the new combo chip will support uplink and downlink OFDMA, 1024QAM, MU-MIMO, Target Wake Time and Spatial Reuse. The device ensures the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios don't interfere with each other and also will support the Wi-Fi Alliance's Easy Mesh standard.

Neither pricing nor availability were announced. For more information, visit the MediaTek website.
