NETGEAR's Orbi 4G LTE Whole Home Wi-Fi router (LBR20) adds a 4G cellular WAN connection to its award-winning mesh networking system.

Designed for locations that don’t have easy access to a broadband connection, the newly added 4G cellular connection included with the AC2200 router can either be used as a dedicated internet connection or as a backup connection in case the primary broadband connection goes down.

According to NETGEAR, the new 4G router’s coverage is 2000 square feet, while the maximum data rate for the CAT18 cellular modem goes up to 1.2 Gbps when used with a compatible SIM card from a service provider.

Aside from mesh networking-related features like seamless roaming, other features mentioned include Netgear Armor powered by Bitdefender for security, Circle Smart Parenting Controls for families, and mobile management via the Orbi app.

NETGEAR Orbi 4G LTE Whole Home Wi-Fi Router availability is scheduled for April, 2020 with a MSRP of $399.99.
