Changed firewall setting, AC66U resets itself to factory default.

I just changed the "Respond to ping requests from WAN" from yes to no and manually power cycled my AC66U after it had saved the settings. When it booted back up it was back on default settings and I had to restore my backup. What happened? Is this a bug?

Corrupted or nearly filled nvram most likely.

How could that happen? I hope it's not a hardware failure.

There's enough free space and I'm not using something like VPN.
