Changing TX Rate

I was checking out my list of wireless clients currently connected to my AC68U and noticed the TXRate (and RxRate) values kept changing. The curious part is why would things like our iPads show a TXRate of 6 one moment, then 65 a moment later?

These devices are not in use (we're not home) but I know they are still doing things like sync'ing emails and receiving text messages. Still, why would the rate fluctuate?

Wireless signal is forever changing tx/rx rate , nothing strange there .

Exactly - nothing to worry about - devices when they're idle/sleeping, might turn the rates down a bit to conserve power...
