Given the current FCC/Net Neutrality kerfuffle in the US, I'm curious if anyone out there has quietly started peering on a mesh like hyperboria with their router.
Here are some links that got my train of thought on this track:
https://tomesh.net/build-a-node/
https://nycmesh.net/blog/starting-with-the-basics/ which led to
https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/nanostationm/nsm_ds_web.pdf
which makes me think that any router that is on Merlin's approved/supported list could be used
https://github.com/cjdelisle/cjdns/blob/master/README.md
https://github.com/hyperboria/peers
I'm also curious as to what the implications are as to my monthly internet package - will I incur extra charges for bandwidth? Will I still have ab-solution's ad-blocking? how do I protect myself from malicious intrusions? should I get a computer science degree before I go any farther?
