client name labels - just curious

Scott Saddison

New Around Here
I have a few android devices on my wireless network. the client name for these devices begin with amazon- and end with a nine digit alphanumeric string. ie amazon-9fc56782a. Just curious if anyone knows what that 9 digit string is derived from. It's obviously not the MAC or serial id of the device.

Thanks -

Scott
