New Around Here
Hi,

I was able to use my tunnelbear account to setup the openvpn client, it connects ok, bit non of the device's traffix is going through that tunnel.

https://whatismyipaddress.com/ is always showing my ISP IP.

Anybody know how to automatically route all traffic via VPN ?

Thanks

J

Good catch ColinTaylor, thank you. I clicked on "New Threads" column at right on SNB and did not note the forum. I will do that from now on.

I do not use the merlin Firmware, i have the latest ASUSWRT.

I'm puzzled, the VPN client pages says :

The ASUSWRT VPN feature provides VPN access to all devices in a home network without having to install VPN software on each device.
So it should work out of the box, but it is not.... wondering why ?!

here is my routing table :

x.x.x.? is my ISP public IP.
y.y.y.$ is my LAN IP

Kernel IP routing table

Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface
x.x.x.1 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 eth0

and the logs :

It will work out of the box but first you must sign up for a commercial VPN service. Who is your VPN provider?

yeah, but because it actually connect i assumed it worked ...

i guess i have to look for another VPN provider then...

NordVPN works well on ASUS routers and they have regularly 3-year plan offers for about $100. Servers are pretty fast too. I was able to get 275Mbps speed through VPN using RT-AC86U router and about 350Mbps with x86 CPU. Local servers in the same city though.

ok, i'll give it a try thanks.

So for case resolution closure i'll put that tunnelbear vpn does not work with asus ASUSWRT firmware ...
