Compatible Stock FW for AiMesh Merlin

After doing some reading, I though I would ask the obvious question, given then issues with merlin and AiMesh. What stock firmware for the node, pairs well with the merlin router (386.5_2)? Currently running two RT-AX68U. I have been trying different firmware for weeks to no avail.

According to Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5_2 changelog, the base is 46065. Latest RT-AX68U firmware is 46055. Try with the latest one.

There are long threads discussing RT-AX68U issues. You perhaps had to do some more reading before purchasing two routers.
