New Around Here
As the title says there seems to be a serious conflict with IPV6-passthrough and NAT Hardware Acceleration enabled.

I've narrowed it down to a Asus laptop connected wirelessly triggering it. When it triggers all requests to the outside world from every device on the inside network seem to timeout.

I've flashed the latest stable firmware today, and the problem still exists. I believe I've been dealing with this issue for about 3 days now. When it first cropped up I was on the stock latest firmware, and as a last resort to avoid having to buy a new router, I decided to give Asuswrt-Merlin a try.

The main reason I'm reposting this here is I feel the other person posted in the wrong area, and it might of not gotten the visibility it deserves. Searches did return 2 or 3 other people with the issue, but nobody seemed to respond to their posts.

I am willing to test beta firmwares and will provide as much information I can to get this problem solved.

Thank you.

The 'AC87 is a strange animal. Quantenna chipset and all.

I don't think this is going to get fixed. Close source blogs.

Searching for this error seems to indicate a 5GHz radio issue too?

Well thats a bit disappointing, looks like this issue is not just isolated to this router however strange it is, so maybe it can get fixed indirectly by association. I guess the question in the back of my mind is how much "performance" am I really sacrificing by disabling NAT hardware acceleration.

I saw that post also, but I am not having any issues with the wireless going down, just things timing out when I try to access sites on the internet.

What performance you're sacrificing depends on what your ISP speeds are. If you're below about 300Mbps, you are not losing much, if anything. :)

The last update from Asus to that model was almost a year ago. I wouldn't be depending on anything getting fixed on that one-off platform. :(

I believe Asus said some time back right here in this forum the 87 will only be supported for security issue and not much else. I hope im wrong.
